Article 8 para. 1-2, FADP requires the data controller to put in place technical and organizational security procedures aimed at maintaining the security of the user's personal data and avoiding breaches.
Our site has technical and organizational security procedures in place to maintain the security of your personal data and to protect your session data and personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and/or accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access. This security is ensured by the LB MACRO URL address beginning with https://, which means that our site is protected, as also shown by the closed padlock icon that appears on the left side.
However, you should always be aware that the transmission of information via the Internet and other electronic means involves certain security risks and that we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted in this way.

The aforementioned payment platforms all use suitable tools to ensure the security of the payment data provided by the user, such as encryption technologies, HTTPS protocol and the Transport Layer Security standard, or cutting-edge programs for user identification before purchase.
You should be aware that despite the adoption of appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, a breach may still occur in spite of us.
In this case, we ensure that we notify the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner ("FDPIC") as soon as possible of any breach of data security that may result in a high risk to your privacy or fundamental rights, and that we inform you if this is necessary for your protection, as required by Art. 24, para. 1 and 4, FADP.

Right to Erasure ('Right to be Forgotten') (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we hold about you. This applies in certain circumstances, such as when the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, if you withdraw your consent, or if the data has been processed unlawfully. This right is not absolute and may not apply if processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request that we stop or restrict our processing of your personal data in certain situations, for example, if you contest the accuracy of the information or if the processing is unlawful.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20 GDPR and Art. 28 of the Swiss FADP): You may have the right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to request that we transfer it to a third party. Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 15 GDPR): Where we rely on your consent to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. The withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Right to Lodge a Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable data protection laws. For EU residents, this is typically the authority in your country of residence. In Switzerland, the competent authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Appeal: You have the right to appeal our decision if we refuse to process your request. You can do this by responding directly to our refusal.
You may exercise any of these rights where indicated on our Site or by contacting us using the contact details provided below.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to collect information from you to verify your identity, such as your email address or account information, before providing a substantive response to your request. In accordance with applicable laws, you may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require that the agent provide proof that you have authorized it to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us. We will respond to your request in a timely manner, as required by applicable law.
Like many websites, we use cookies on our site.
A cookie is a file of information that websites store on your computer or mobile device for the purpose of identifying and recognizing you when you return to the site. For specific information about the cookies we use, please see our "Cookie settings". We use cookies to enhance and improve our Site and Services (including to remember your actions and preferences), to perform analytics, and to better understand your interaction with the Services (in our legitimate interest in administering, improving, and optimizing the Services). We may also allow third parties and service providers to use cookies on our site to better personalize the services, products, and advertising on our site and other websites.
The data collected through cookies may include information about how you access and use our Site and your account, including device information, browser information, network connection information, IP address, and other information related to your interaction with the Services.
The cookies we use do not contain your name or your contact details. Some contain technical identifiers, which are assigned an identification number when activated; such identifiers, when combined with other information, may constitute personal data under the GDPR.
Campaign attribution cookie. If you reach our Site from an advertisement or a campaign link, we store in a first-party cookie named lbm_attribution, which scripts cannot read (HttpOnly), the campaign parameters contained in the address (the so-called utm_* parameters), the referring site, the landing page and, where the advertising platform provides it, the advertisement click identifier (for example li_fat_id for LinkedIn). We keep this information for 90 days and solely in order to understand which campaign generated a visit or a registration. If you create an account during that period, these values are associated with your account so that the registration can be attributed to the campaign it came from. We do not use them to profile you and we do not sell them to third parties.
Our site uses the cookie banner, which is a notice that is shown on the user's first visit, which has the function of informing the user of the presence of cookies, his rights in this regard and asking for consent to their installation. Therefore, by refusing to provide consent, the user can choose to remove cookies from the browser. However, please note that removing or blocking cookies may have a negative impact on your experience and may cause some Services, including certain general features and functionality, to malfunction or become unavailable. Additionally, blocking cookies may not completely prevent how we share information with third parties, such as our advertising partners.
If you have given your consent, you also agree to the use of third-party technologies by our website. The data collected in this context will be deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled and the use of the relevant technology has ended.
You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Further information, including the legal basis for data processing, can be found within the respective technologies. If you have any questions about our service providers and the basis for our cooperation with them, please use the contact option described in this Privacy Policy.
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland ("LinkedIn"), to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns on LinkedIn and to know how many people complete a registration or start a trial after seeing an advertisement.
The Insight Tag is loaded only after you have given your consent to the marketing cookie category through the cookie banner. If you do not give consent, the script is not installed and no data is transmitted to LinkedIn. You may withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie settings.
When the Insight Tag is active, LinkedIn may receive your IP address, device and browser information and the page visited, and may report to us, in aggregate form, that a registration was completed or a trial was started. Further information on LinkedIn's processing is available in LinkedIn's privacy policy.
We use the following technologies from Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). The information automatically collected by Google technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and stored there.
In this regard, the Federal Council has not included the United States in the list of states that guarantee adequate data protection pursuant to Art. 16, para. 1, FADP. Therefore, our cooperation is based on the data protection clauses previously communicated to the FDPIC or approved by him, pursuant to Art. 16, para. 2 (b) and (d) of the FADP.
If your IP address is collected using Google technologies, it will be shortened by activating IP anonymization before it is stored on Google's servers. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server and shortened there.
Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy [https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en].
For the purpose of website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information about the use of our website), from which pseudonymous usage profiles are created. Cookies may be used for this purpose.
Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data.
The data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Google.
For the purpose of advertising in Google's search results and on third-party websites, the so-called Google remarketing cookie is used when you visit our website, which automatically enables interest-based advertising through the collection and processing of data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information about your use of our website), by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and on the basis of the pages visited. Further data processing only takes place if you have activated the "personalized advertising" setting in your Google account. In this case, if you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing.
For website analysis and event tracking, we use Google Ads Conversion Tracking to measure the subsequent usage behavior of the user when they arrive on our website via a Google Ads ad. Cookies may be used for this purpose and data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information about the use of our website based on events specified by us, such as a visit to a website or registration for a newsletter) may be collected, from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms.
For the visual representation of the geographical information, Google Maps collects data about your use of the Maps functions, in particular your IP address and location data, transmits them to Google and processes them.
We have no influence on this further processing of the data.
For the purpose of a uniform presentation of the content on our website, the data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information) is collected by the script code "Google Fonts", transmitted to Google and then processed by Google.
We have no influence on this further processing of the data.
Google Tag Manager serves as a tool for managing and controlling cookies, conversion pixels or tracking codes from programs such as Google Analytics. The application itself works with tags and triggers and forwards the information collected on the website through cookies directly to the appropriate tools for further processing.
We have no influence on this further processing of the data.
Each time you access our websites, we receive certain usage data from your internet browser for technical reasons, which are stored in log files.
This is the following usage data:
The analysis of log files helps us to further improve our Internet services and make them easier to use, to find and correct errors more quickly, and to check server capacities. On the basis of the log files, we can determine, for example, at what time the use of our Internet services is particularly popular and provide the corresponding data volume to ensure the best possible use for you.
In order to continuously improve and optimise our website, we use so-called tracking technologies (Google Analytics). Web analysis tools provide us with statistics and graphs that inform us about the use of our websites. In the process, data about the use of an Internet page is transmitted to the server used for data management. This is a service provided by a third party, which can be based in any country in the world (in the case of Google Analytics, this is Google Ireland (based in Ireland), Google Ireland relies on Google LLC (based in the USA) as an order processor (both "Google"), www.google.com), which allows us to measure and evaluate the (non-personal) use of the website. Permanent cookies set by the service provider are also used for this purpose. We have configured the service so that the IP addresses of visitors are shortened by Google in Europe before being forwarded to the USA and therefore cannot be traced. We have disabled the "Data forwarding" and "Signals" settings. Although it may be assumed that the information we share with Google is not personal data for Google, it is possible that Google may draw conclusions from this data about the identity of users for its own purposes, create personal data and create an identity of visitors.
If you have registered with the service provider yourself, the service provider also acknowledges this. The processing of your personal data by the service provider is therefore carried out under the responsibility of the service provider in accordance with its data protection provisions. The service provider only informs us about the use of our website (does not provide us with personal information).
If you have any complaints about the way we process your personal information, please contact us using the contact details provided below.
If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint, or if we do not comply with our request, and you also believe that our data processing may have violated data protection provisions, you can file a complaint with the FDPIC in accordance with Art. 49, para. 1 and 4, LPD, using the contacts indicated below.
If you are a resident of an EU country, we inform you of the possibility of lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority and of bringing a judicial appeal against our decision, pursuant to Art. 12, par. 4 GDPR.
Please note that we may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside of the country in which you live, including the United States. Your personal information is also processed by staff and third-party service providers and partners in these countries.
If we transfer your personal information outside Switzerland, we will rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as contractual data protection clauses, which have been communicated to the FDPIC in advance, unless the data transfer takes place in one of the countries identified by the Federal Council that guarantee an adequate level of protection in accordance with Art. 16, para. 1-2, LPD.
